So Much Yarn ~ So Little Time
That could be my epitaph. Most people have a project in mind when they shop for yarn, but I have a tendency to fall in love with the yarn, buy enough in case I want to make something really big, and figure out what to do with it later. I would be embarrassed to admit just how much I have accumulated, but if you crochet (or knit), you know!
I’ve always been a crafter – name just about anything and I’ve done it – but crochet was one of the first crafts I learned as a child and the one that I come back to time and again as an adult. It’s creatively fulfilling, fairly quick and easy, and quite practical! What’s not to love? Oh – and you can learn it on the cheap – a hook, some yarn, and YouTube and you’re in business!
I never set out to design crochet items or write patterns – it just kind of evolved as my crochet skills improved. The better I got at it, the more I wanted to do it, and the more I did it, the more ideas I had. Of course, there were no patterns for my ideas so I was left to my own devices. Fast forward a few years and I’ve cranked out quite a few projects, so I created this little home for them.
I would describe my style as modern classic – not too trendy as to be passé in a few years, and not so traditional as to be passé from the get go. I’m also all about ease and accessibility. I believe that a good crochet pattern does not have to be complicated to look complicated. Most of my patterns utilize basic crochet stitches and/or simple variations thereof so that just about anyone can work them up – which is not to say that they are overly simplistic or that you won’t learn anything, just that I do my best to make sure you’re not tearing your hair out while you do!
Thanks for stopping by my little dot in the universe! I will endeavor to regularly add to this collection so please come by anytime to check out what’s new. I do hope you will find something you love!
All the best,
